Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst at Instaffo, you help make the users on our platform more successful by enabling all company departments to make data-driven decisions based on your insights!

You work with state-of-the-art technologies which run on a modern, cloud-based stack.

What you’ll be doing:

• Build & maintain systems to transform raw qualitative and quantitative data into actionable business insights.
• Create reports, dashboards, data sets, queries, and analyses to convey business solutions to key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with colleagues across all departments inside the company to define key performance metrics and relevant data sources.
• Understand business needs and objectives for providing business analytics and insights to enhance strategy development.
• Provide analytical support on key initiatives to enhance organizational decision making.

Our current main tech stack:

• Our Data Warehouse is hosted on Google BigQuery which is our central source of truth for anything related to Data Analytics and Business Intelligence.
• External data is primarily ingested using Stitch and Fivetran. For internal sources we use RabbitMQ and custom build workers written in Python which run in our Kubernetes cluster.
• Cleaning, transformation and creating custom tables for Data Analytics & Business Intelligence is done using SQL and dbt.
• Metrics & KPIs are visualized with Superset, a modern business intelligence web application.

What you must bring:

• At least 3+ years of relevant industry experience in Business Intelligence and Data Analysis.
• At least 2+ years of relevant industry experience in dimensional modeling (Star-/Snowflake-schema).
• Excellent knowledge of a SQL dialect (e.g. standard SQL, T-SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Practice working with, processing, and leading large data sets.
  

Nice to have:

• Experience working with Google BigQuery.
• Experience working with dbt.
• Experience working with a dashboard tool like Apache Superset
• Very good programming skills in Python.
