Front-End Engineering Senior

We are looking for a senior to fundamentally change how our front-end work is done by guiding a transition from manual coding to directing and supervising AI agents. You will own this transformation end-to-end while providing hands-on technical mentoring for our Promenade front-end squad. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of software development within a complex, multi-tenant environment.

• Guide and mentor the front-end developer squad, providing technical guidance, supporting their growth, and taking responsibility for line management and performance.
• Own and evolve the architecture of our monorepo, ensuring it scales cleanly across multiple client storefronts.
• Drive technical decision-making for the Promenade front end stack, including upgrades, tooling, and best practices.
• Redesign the squad's development workflow to make agentic coding the default mode of building software.
• Define and enforce quality, review, testing, and security gates appropriate to AI-generated code at production scale.

• Demonstrated experience guiding a team through the adoption of agentic or AI-assisted development workflows.
• Strong conviction and judgment regarding the balance between agent-driven tasks and human oversight.
• Significant experience in front-end development with a proven track record of technical leadership or mentoring.
• Strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript in production environments.
• Experience working within a monorepo setup, ideally with NX.

You will join the Promenade front-end squad, a team powering whitelabel storefronts for airline and airport clients worldwide. We operate as a distributed, remote-first team that values occasional in-person collaboration.

There are three steps: Step 1 is an introductory meeting with me, the person responsible for HR. In Step 2, meeting the team is combined with a live test. Step 3 is the final interview to discuss the test results, clarify any outstanding questions, and go over the contract details.
