DevOps Specialist Web3

As a DevOps Specialist Web3, you will maintain full nodes for various blockchains and find efficient ways to deploy and manage them. You'll deeply understand blockchain-specific monitoring and help reduce noise by fine-tuning alerts. Additionally, you will troubleshoot production issues, support other engineers in deploying new services, and work on increasing developer velocity. With 3+ years of relevant experience and proficiency in technologies like Terraform, TypeScript, and Gitlab CI/CD, you'll be a key player in our agile and innovative team at BLOCKSIZE.

• You will be responsible for maintaining full nodes for various blockchains and finding ways to deploy and manage them more efficiently. 
• You understand blockchain-specific monitoring in great depth and you will be helping the team cut down on noise by fine-tuning alerts. 
• You will help by troubleshooting production issues to address technical commitments and boost sustainability, as well as pair with other engineers to help with troubleshooting, deploying new services, and figuring out how to increase developer velocity and eliminate pain points.

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience, have an operations background and worked in a DevOps team before.
• Ideally, you provide solutions for monitoring, log analysis and alerting tools.
• Experience with scripting and configuration management. You can write scripts to automate routine tasks.
• You have practical knowledge in most of the following technologies: Terraform, Helm Charts, Gitlab CI/CD, OpenShift, Pytest, TypeScript, Scripting Languages, e.g. Python.
• Proficiency in these technology fields is needed: Containerization, Ansible, Automation, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Cloud-Computing IaaS, Software Design.
• Proficiency in various blockchain technologies and applications, including: Chainlink, and/or Pyth, Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, Lido, SupraOracles.

Preferred Knowledge

• Experience running blockchain full nodes would give you a considerable advantage in this role; excitement for blockchain, Web 3.0, and decentralized finance.
• Setup and management of Kubernetes clusters and you feel comfortable deploying completely new services on them.
• Know how with exporting metrics via Prometheus, an building Grafana dashboards.
• Having worked with SQL before (ideally PostgreSQL).
• A strong desire to grow and challenge yourself.
• Good experience working with GCP, AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Agility, self-organization, and open to learning.
• Experience in the financial service and/or capital market domain.
• Result orientation, conceptual and analytical thinking.
• Collaborative by nature; willing to give and receive feedback.
• You have fun at doing your work and hence being good at it.
• Ideally you are located in Central Europe (CET timezone) or +/- 2 hours away from it.
